ASHLEY & JEFF
AUGUST 7, 2010
family - Notre Dame, IN
Back in January, Ashley & Jeff won the award for coldest engagement session ever. I think the wind chill was something like -2 that day!
We were so glad to be able to spend some time with them today when we could feel our hands. :) They were so courteous and caring all day. It was easy to see that they wanted first and foremost for all their guests to have a good time. :) On to the photos!
Another stunning wedding at the Basilica. It was beautiful to see everyone's hands outstretched for the blessing. They all looked so connected.
We were able to steal Ashley & Jeff away to this grassy field for some intimate shots. More to come. :)
The reception was elegant beyond belief at the lovely Blue Heron at Blackthorn, which is always a pleasure to photograph.
This was the result of the best garter toss we've ever seen. :) Getting it down was another story. Two different men tried hopping up on chairs and pulling at the chandelier (which resulted in it swinging ominously back-and-forth, Phantom of the Opera style...) until they called upon the help of the tallest man in attendance. It came down safely :)Labels: WEDDING

SARA & JOHN
JULY 31, 2010
wedding - Notre Dame, IN
Back to Old Notre Dame for another memorable day. Sara & John's wedding was chuck-full of fun details (wait 'till you see the APPLES! :) ), laughter (so much laughter :)) and beautiful weather. Onward, photos!
This was our first time back to the Grotto since the fire.SO glad to see that it still standing strong. :)
Sara and John had a friend that let us into the ND stadium. Here they're marching down the tunnel while their friends sang the fight song :)
This is PROOF that we have some of the coolest brides in all of history. We took an hour break in the middle of the day for snacks + rehydration (it was a doozy of a day :) ) and we found Sara, covered in napkins, eating an entire pizza. She's my favorite. :)
We've done several shoe photos on our blog this year. But I have to tell you, if your wedding includes fabulous color combos and cool shoes, I'm not going to be able to resist taking photos of your feets :)
Notice the resemblance? :) (complete with matching gold sash and green tie!)(Cake done by Cakewalk, LLC It. was. delicious. :) )
They left a little gap in the ribbon for the cake cutting. First time we've ever seen it. LOVE it. :)Labels: WEDDING
